Two colors!

I've been wanting to try multi colored (also called fair isle or stranded) knitting for a while, and was looking for patterns/charts today. I really only wanted to do 2 colors because i don't have tons of yarn that goes together right now (and running super low on white/neutrals). So I came across one that had lots of flowers and hearts that was for mittens...but i'm not making mittens. So, i modified it to be the size i needed and took out the hearts and some other parts.

What do you think of it? It's going on a hat and i'm doing it in cream and dark purple. (Click photo to enlarge).

Oh boy!

It's been so long since i've updated! Sorry about that. I was without internet for 2 months, so i got a pretty good amount of stuff done or started. I think i have crafters ADD. LOL. I start a project then my fingers start itching to start something else, so i do. I think i have at least 5 things started right now...all things for various friends. I also altered a poncho pattern into an afghan pattern to knit for my dad. I'm in the process of knitting a swatch to make sure it works up ok before i start knitting it with wool. I'll be using some Wool of the Andes from Knit Picks. I'm thinking of Jalapeno (green) with a brown color. I'm really loving green right now. This will be a longer term project since it's mostly cables, and it's big.

This is a special blanket for a friend. I'm almost done, i just have to bind it. I'm giving it to her this weekend.
